  • study and doctorate at the Technical University of Ilmenau (Germany) in the field of precision engineering and robotics
  • 1991 to 2016 co-founder and CEO of TETRA Gesellschaft für Sensorik, Robotik und Automation mbH at Ilmenau in partnership with Olaf Mollenhauer
  • realization of complex customer projects of mechatronic automation and assistance technology together with engineers and highly qualified and skilled workers
  • starting from 2006 development of the business unit robotics and assistance systems on the basis of bionically inspired robotic approaches such as:
    • bionically inspired robot arm
    • climbing robot modelled after a rat
    • research and test platforms for human walking
  • 2012 to 2016 development of the technical concept and project management for the robotics and mechatronic components of the system of robotic-assisted, minimally invasive surgery “avatera”
  • since 2017 freelance work as consultant and coach in the field of robotics
